There are many aspects to cooking for yourself or a family and to the uninitiated it can seem daunting. Following recipes can work, but sometimes recipes make an assumption that the cook knows how to do something that they don’t. This can cause a lot of frustration.
The basics will help us to understand food and food preparation in a more foundational way so that we can identify when things are going wrong in a recipe, or adjust a recipe more to our liking or skip using a recipe at all. This is what we’re here to do and it’s not as hard or as time consuming as you think. We will start as brief and as simple as we can to get you going quickly.
